Whilst at art school studying Interactive Digital Media, Katy Boyd got very involved with music oriented film and video making, producing several films and videos that later went on to be screened on television as well as shown in various film festivals. After leaving art school, Katy became very interested in producing films and videos about people and families, and her video work after art school includes both documentary shorts and art films, several music videos, and some less than ordinary wedding videos.
